Okay, let's start with the list...
Last WEEK I was grateful for:
Tuesday: Walks home from north campus
Wednesday: Brenton and his infinite microwave knowledge
Thursday: Ice cream with raspberry/lime break on top
Friday: Ice cream with peaches on top
Saturday: A break in the rain long enough to run
Sunday: Kurt Warner is a sexy sexy man
Monday: Elizabeth did great on her prelim!
Tuesday: Understanding angular momentum selection rules
This weekend I went for a 4.6 mile run. I timed 4.4 miles of it and got 50:14, which I was reasonably happy with. It was raining lightly most of the time and even down-poured for a few minutes, but I'm not sure if that affected my performance. I was just glad I made it the whole way. I walked for about a minute when it started to really rain hard, but then I got going again once it let up again.
Yesterday I updated my CV and my scientific articles file. The CV was pretty easy...just added a new paper I've been working on, so I think I won't bother posting it for now.
Beth passed her prelim yesterday with flying colors so we went out to the Brown Jug to celebrate with some drinks last night. I was slightly distracted by the football game (my team one by one point!!!) so hopefully I didn't annoy the crowd too much. Congrats Beth!
